How does the live domain check work?
For every name idea, your browser asks a public DNS resolver (Cloudflare’s) whether name.com and name.io resolve. If the domain doesn’t resolve, it’s very likely unregistered — we mark it “available”. It’s an indication, not a guarantee: the only truth is the registrar’s checkout page. No account is created and nothing is looked up on your behalf beyond that DNS query.
What happens to my idea and inputs?
Your description goes straight from your browser to the AI provider with a temporary key — we never store it. Domain checks are anonymous DNS lookups. Your generated kit lives in the page until you close or reload it; export it as Markdown if you want to keep it.
Can I use the names and logo commercially?
Names: check the domain, then verify the trademark situation for your market before you commit — AI suggestions can collide with existing brands. Logos: we claim no rights over what you generate; treat them like any AI-generated art and make sure they don’t reproduce protected work.
How can this be free?
The model runs on a free community tier of an OpenAI-compatible provider, called directly from your browser with a temporary key. We pay nothing, so you pay nothing. The trade-off is shared capacity: at busy times your request waits, and we retry automatically.
